Assistant Accountant - Cosham

Broad Core Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with the Head of Finance.
  • Processing supplier invoices and employee expenses.
  • Support payment runs/bank reconciliations.
  • Raising customer invoices.
  • Credit control.
  • Reviewing invoice coding to ensure accuracy.
  • Month end closure, accruals & prepayments, depreciation.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Project reporting, Work In Process (WIP), Stock on Hand (SOH)
  • Assisting with cashflow management.
  • Support Directors with queries.

Expected Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Relevant finance / accountancy experience.
  • Understanding of Work In Process (WIP) & Stock on Hand (SOH)
  • Good understanding of accounting concepts and fundamentals.
  • Comfortable with accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
  • Month end experience and assisting with management accounts preparation.
  • Happy communicating with customers on invoicing / credit control queries.
  • Used to working with accounting software (ideally Xero)
  • Proficient with MS Office, specifically MS Excel.
